About the role

 

Essence is looking for a Senior Talent Management Business Partner in APAC. Based in Singapore, this is a regional role reporting into our APAC Talent Management Business Leader. As a Talent Management BP,  you will help to deliver full spectrum of Talent Management services for our Singapore, Indonesia and Australia offices and act as the Business Partner to all our local and/or regional stakeholders as required. You will also be involved in various APAC Talent Management projects and help drive process improvements.

Some of the things we’d like you to do:

 

Be a strategic business partner and advisor on all Talent-related matters:

 

  • Be the point of contact for any people related matters and build strong partnership with all levels of stakeholders, from the leadership to all Essentials
  • Work closely with our Learning and Culture team to streamline onboarding for new joiners
  • Partner with Resource Management to identify Essentials ready for promotion and review feasibility of movement into new position
  • Implement globally aligned Talent Management strategy across the region
  • Make recommendations for relocation packages in line with our Global Mobility Policy
  • Advise Client Groups on any people related considerations during restructure or changes and manage any consultation processes as a result of change, including redundancy and potential redeployment
  • Work with Learning and Culture team on performance improvement plans to ensure that training interventions and communications are considered and team with Resource Management to ensure contingency plans are in place
  • Be the change agent and drive the HR and business transformation journey

 

 

Be a champion of employee engagement and be accessible, approachable and available to all levels of Essentials:

 

  • Partner across levels to bridge the gap between them and different layers of leadership
  • Support Line Managers on a day to day basis to support and resolve any issues early on
  • Build strong relationships based on confidentiality and trust with all stakeholders within Client group (both leadership, management, and Essentials)

 

Maintain and oversee our Talent Management operational processes in an efficient, smooth and accurate manner and constantly look out for improvements:

 

  • Maintain the HRIS and Benefits administration on a daily basis
  • Manage the visa process for travelling or relocating Essentials as necessary
  • Ensure our business is legally compliant to all people related statutory requirements (e.g. leaves, work visas) and mitigate any business risks related to people matters
  • Effectively and swiftly manage any formal disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Review and propose areas of improvement for APAC total rewards to ensure Essence’s regional competitiveness as an employer

 

 

Manage our regional compensation and benefits projects roll-out and be a part of other ad hoc Talent Management projects as needed:

 

  • Partner with leadership on all compensation and benefits related initiatives ranging from annual salary reviews to annual bonus allocations
  • Support the Talent Management team in compensation process roll-out and benchmark compensation packages against competitors
  • Manage and support other regional and/or global TM projects as and when required

 

 

A bit about yourself:

 

  • a Degree in HRM/related discipline, with 5 years of experience as HR Business Partner
  • 8 years of in-market experience as a HR practitioner & regional exposure is a must
  • Sound knowledge of local employment and taxation laws
  • Passion / background in regional Compensation & Benefits
  • Experience in intra-zone mobility (offer & negotiation)
  • Experience with local, governmental and Union negotiation as applicable
  • Effectively bilingual, excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate the resolution of sensitive employee-related issues with discretion
  • IT savvy (Google suites), creative and effective problem-solving
  • Analytic and numerically savvy
  • Positive mindset and adaptive to changes
  • Demonstrable experience of managing a range of employment related matters
  • Experience of operating in a fast paced / high growth environment
  • Confidence and ability to challenge, influence and manage stakeholders
  • Excellent Relationship building skills
