Overview of the Role

Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally.

We are currently looking for a Digital Manager to join us. In this role, you will support existing clients in need of digital talent to help them shape their marketing and operational strategies as it relates to digital trends and technologies.  While most of your project involvement will be in support of marketing initiatives, it is expected that you will also play a role in discussions arounds digital infrastructure, CRM, emerging digital technologies and trends. You should have experience and comfort in dealing across organisations and markets, working to build consensus, establish transparency and consistency, and being sensitive to market and cultural nuances

Measures of success –

In three months:

  1. Demonstrate understanding of the media landscape and business challenges and begin to contribute ideas on how to improve on current situation
  2. Implementation of media plans across both traditional and digital channels
  3. Great understanding of your portfolio of clients

In six months:

  1. Be the person whom the client goes to for day-to-day activities
  2. Able to propose ideas and activities to answer identified challenges

In twelve months:

  • Assist in leading projects/new campaigns and/or channels (identify need, formulate idea into plan, set the scope and present to the Director)

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the overall digital marketing strategy - including Paid, Search, Display, Affiliate, Email, Facebook Advertisement, Push Notifications and SEO across 2 geographies and 5 lines of businesses
  • Work with the local marketing heads, the country manager and the marketing team to optimize the conversion funnel for specific traffic sources, campaigns, user segments etc.
  • Balance customer retention and acquisition to both maximize the lifetime value of existing consumers while increasing the customers base. Develop effective strategies and channel mixes to maintain these objectives.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and act on data to drive conversion improvements across all aspects of the sales funnel - from channel optimization, to marketing messaging, and conversion rates. Furthermore, set up automated reports and measurement tools that allow result tracking at scale.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions as needed to generate creative and original ideas for all digital assets and drive the creative process with art directors, video producers and external agencies
  • Maintain monthly reports on digital marketing portfolio, allocate budgets to different channel and assess performance with

What you will need:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience leading Digital Marketing at scale in a high-growth mobile technology environment with a solid team management experience
  • Alternatively, candidates from advertising publishers who know about Digital across all channels would also be considered
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
  • Demonstrable experience in designing and implementing successful digital marketing campaigns
  • Experienced managing timelines and budgets
  • Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy and best practice
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tool
