Position at GroupM Nexus

GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Paid Search Specialist to join us.

In this role, you will handle all Paid Search for various clients of GroupM. You will be responsible for ensuring end to end campaign management and implementation.

This role reports to Paid Search Manager - GroupM Nexus

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Understood the complete biddable media scenario on client’s business, e.g. Search, Facebook, etc.
  • Handled day to day tasks / requirement effectively

In six months:

  • Optimized implementation in all biddable media platforms
  • Recommended and implemented best practice
  • Explored and executed an innovation in one of the biddable media platforms

In 12 months:

  • Exceed client expectations in terms of biddable media implementation
  • Create a road-map for the next year.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Ensure understanding of all GroupM Agencies brand portfolio, deliverables and campaign KPIs
  • Be an expert across media behaviorsand how target audience interacts with social touchpoints (i.e Google, Microsoft Advertising, Amazon) and any cross-channel delivery 
  • Lead opportunities to improve and enhance clients’ campaigns and advise GroupM Agencies accordingly
  • Proactively address, and escalate when needed, any issue that compromises the quality and timeliness of deliverables
  • Lead quality control and assurance practiceswithin Paid Search and Google Ads activation
  • Ensure team understanding and compliance with finance process (including end of campaign reconciliation and addressing media query)GroupMpolicies and procedures.  
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration by demonstrating openness to new ideas and interest in learning from colleagues with different expertise. 
  • Support GroupM Agencies in providing specific expertise to clients when/if needed Lead and drive knowledge share and understanding of new trends and technologies across Paid Search and Google Ads activation
  • Perform day-to-day paid search and Google Ads campaign activities, including campaign set-up, keyword management, bid management, budget allocation and management, forecasting, performance monitoring, optimization, etc.
  • Coordinate with planners and teammates to ensure all paid search and Google Ads campaign activities can operate smoothly with no mistake
  • Supporting paid search manager by providing data-based insights, key findings, reports, actionable plan, etc. related to paid search and Google Ads campaign
  • Develop, recommend, and implement optimization strategy
  • Oversee budget pacing and act accordingly to prevent overspend/underspend for clients across agencies
  • Work with agencies under GroupM to conduct and analyze research to build best-in-class Paid Search including, but not limited to, identifying target audience, geographic, keyword types, keyword research, keyword strategy, optimization strategy, bid strategy, ads extension, RLSA, DSA.


What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management, or Science are preferred
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience of paid search and/or Google Ads
  • Strong working background and knowledgeable in paid search, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and other Google products
  • Experience in web analytics, ad tracking, and other biddable media a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Certified in Google Ads certification
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Good command of written & spoken English
