About the role

You will manage the Owned Media delivery for your client(s) from a strategy, implementation, results, client satisfaction & team development perspective.

You are expected to build trusted and influential relationships with all clients, internal teams along with external technology partners, in order to uncover new opportunities for clients and revenue. You will be expected to support in the development of processes and implementing them with your team. You will also be supporting the Owned Media Director to expand the knowledge of SEO and Owned Digital Media within the wider business at Mindshare

Your Team

Owned Media is a part of the Outcomes collective at Mindshare, who are responsible for the delivery of Mindshare’s Search, SEO, SEM, Programmatic, Adtech, Performance Partnerships, Social products and services. It is responsible for delivering the Mindshare Performance Media function via utilising systems, processes and practices that enables work to effectively and efficiently move throughout the agency teams and departments.


  • Establish a strong client relationship, to manage scope requirements across Owned Media channels (SEO, Social Listening, CRO)
  • Support and present on client QBRs and demonstrate quality client service
  • Has deep understanding of the client(s) category and applies to work consistently helps to deliver strategy to increase/maintain client satisfaction
  • Possesses ability to lead a client meeting to a clear outcome
  • Applies deep knowledge/understanding of the Owned optimisation landscape, market and trends
  • Responds to clients and partner agencies in a timely manner consistently managing expectations
  • Ensure deadlines are hit and managing workflows and tasks for all SEO, CRO and Web Analytics related deliverables for your client, with your team member(s)
  • Identify and collaborate and work through upselling opportunities with the Associate Director/Owned Media Director/Client Lead
  • Utilise your specialist digital knowledge to educate your team around website and owned asset optimisation offering, to develop junior team members on your client account(s)
  • Support your team and the wider Owned Media team to own all aspects of digital requirements from strategies, planning, optimization, and importantly the integration with the wider Biddable Media teams (SEM as a key focus channel).
  • Provide team career direction and support the appraisal process with junior member(s) in your team
  • Provide dedicated support to manage career progression with junior team members
  • Integrate seamlessly with client account teams

Skills & Experience

  • Evidence of a background in SEO
  • Demonstrated experienced in team leadership/mentoring junior staff members
  • In-depth understand of Owned Media channels and evidence of education to client(s) and/or internal stakeholders
  • Experience in formulating Owned Media strategy and delivering to client(s)/internal stakeholders
  • Strong experience with utilising industry leading tools – examples: Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google/Adobe Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Screaming Frog
  • Understanding a variety of business verticals and owned media impacts
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated experience of career management of junior team members
  • Good client relationship skills and leadership
  • Effective, collaborative and efficient working style
