Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for Director – Communications Planning to join us.

This role reports to: Head Communications Planning

In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:

  1. Bring strategic thinking which enables creation of content for the brand
  2. Work with clients and charted annual content strategies
  3. Receive training on multiple kinds of content interventions, technology and activation
  4. Identify and work with multiple measurement, data and technology partners

In six months:

  1. Create a sound content framework and master working on proprietary tools
  2. Use data driven insights to frame strategy and generate new ideas to develop content
  3. Ensuring that all content developed is consistent with brand positioning and overall look, feel tone
  4. Meet with multiple start-ups in the measurement and analytics space and create strategic partnerships

In 12 months:

  1. Win new business pitches by using the strategic framework, synthesizing all the data to arrive at strategic insights, enabling a springboard for creating great content
  2. Organise, lead and perform customer studies to find content building opportunities
  3. Create award winning content ideas and IPs across medium

  1. Developing & executing successful content strategies for key clients, through a combination of original and associated content
  2. By creating a mutually profitable ecosystem between creators, platforms and brands
  3. Evangelizing great ideas and ensuring they reach their true potential in terms of value, through stakeholder buy-ins.

What you’ll bring:

  • Understands both the science of communications planning as well as the art of content creation
  • Has a strategic bent of mind, love digging beneath the surface, researching with consumers to unearth rich insights
  • Ability to reconcile client brief with consumer needs to arrive at a clear communication strategy and translating that into an inspiring brief
  • Having knowledge of various media platforms, mainstream audience insight tools will be an added advantage
  • Analyzing and interpreting quantitative data
  • Has a great understanding of general management as well as the business of content
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit and is self-motivated
  • Has an experience of inspiring diverse, high performing teams
  • Isn’t wary of getting their hands dirty or stepping into the trenches

Minimum qualifications:

  • Will need to have a minimum experience of 5+ years as strategic planner in digital / creative agency
  • Good understanding of data, insights and tools across mediums
