Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Associate Director, Outcomes Design to join us. 

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Managing Partner

Measures of success:

In 3 months:

  • Win the team’s trust
  • Thorough understanding of the processes, platforms, tools, technologies in use on client’s business
  • Built up a thorough understanding of client’s data & programmatic ecosystem
  • Formed an understanding of the client’s media strategy in Vietnam market
  • Established working relationships with supply & tech partners
  • Become familiar with the processes within Mindshare and client’s ecosystem including the workflows & processes


In 6 months:

  • Drive workstreams independently with own team with limited senior management supervision
  • Master adoption of best practices on client’s business
  • Manage new initiatives, projects, and pilots for deployment
  • Supervising and guiding team members across data, ad tech and supply-related queries, and facilitating training where necessary
  • Identifying problems related to workflows, processes, and troubleshooting
  • Working closely with programmatic partners (DSPs, Inventory Partners, Ad Tech Partners) to build/identify customised solutions for deployment


In 12 months:

  • Export ‘Best in Class’ work out of Vietnam
  • Conceptualized and recommended new initiatives & pilots for deployment
  • Have a clear strategy for data driven marketing vision for the Client
  • Proposed new ways of working and process improvements across all work streams
  • Proven yourself as a reliable POC for client stakeholders
  • Established a strong level of trust among junior members of the team

* Responsibilities of the role:

Supply Strategy:

  • Develop a strategy on how to manage supply partners that deliver value while meeting client KPIs. Constantly meet and evaluate new partners as needed.
  • Focus on identifying and growing supply for the client when it comes to video, display, paid social, etc. Identify and cultivate relationships with supply partners, piloting new initiatives and evaluating the performance of these initiatives.
  • Manage internal stakeholders in line with opportunity to exceed advertiser KPI expectations through use of efficient supply strategies
  • Build best practices across supply management; establish benchmarks and learnings which are measurable
  • Responsible for Vietnam market roll-out & capability building across category teams.

Programmatic Operations:

  • Ensure all technology partners are adopted seamlessly
  • Develop a process workflow to streamline operations as and when needed across multiple parties – planning team, platform implementation team, partners, client, and GroupM
  • Constantly meet with, evaluate, and test new technology partners, data and supply vendors as needed
  • Support, manage and ensure high quality output from functional implementation leads who are responsible for end-to-end functional workstream management & governance
  • Responsible for market roll-out & capability building agenda in Vietnam market
  • Oversee day to day relationship and communication with client & key partners

Data Strategy:

  • Work in collaboration with Client’s Digital Hub team
  • Champion Data Driven Marketing across Precision, Performance and One to One Marketing
  • Create roadmap for 1st party data acquisition and usage on Client’s business
  • Manage workstreams on Return of Marketing Investment for Data Driven Marketing collaborating with internal and client stakeholder
  • Collaborate with regional team to drive best practice, governance and monitoring of Data vision using proprietary analytics suite
  • Mentor planning, platform implementation and internal data team to align with Client’s vision on Data Driven Marketing

Join us if you have:

  • 5 – 6 years’ industry experience
  • Understanding of programmatic buying process
  • Knowledge of display, video, OTT, and audio inventory ecosystem, ad formats, including planning and buying capabilities
  • DSP (e.g. DV360, The Trade Desk, etc) as well as DMP (e.g. Adobe Audience Manager) experience
  • Self-serve platform knowledge, e.g. Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager
  • Knowledge of AdTech and MarTech platforms (e.g. Integral Ad Science, MOAT, Double Verify, Grapeshot, Sizmek, Jivox, Shopalyst etc)
  • Familiarity with with Visualization platforms (e.g. Googel Data Studio, Datorama, Power BI)
  • Deep understanding of different kind of data / audience segments and its usage including 1st Party, 2nd Party and 3rd Party Data
  • Curiosity to learn new platforms, tools, and technology
