E-commerce Data Analyst to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for quantifying and measuring the success of campaign executions and delivering insights that enable us to innovate the work we deliver on marketplaces such as Amazon and Rakuten.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Analysis of reporting provided by vendor which output actionable insights and optimization recommendations for Search, Display, EDM and sales forecasting
  • Measuring performance for key sale periods and new product launches both off-platform and on-platform such as Amazon or Rakuten
  • Go-to resource for audience insights, on-site behavior, marketplace trends to capture new users, traffic and revenue growth
  • Formulate strategic recommendations based on gathered insights

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Understanding of the client’s product portfolio, position in marketplace and insights in landscape, competitors, and the role of EC analytics for the business
  • Become comfortable with data collection, data cleaning, analysis, and validation
  • Support teams in analyzing data, finding insights, and developing solutions

In six months:

  • Work with client teams and vendor to deliver high value, in-depth analytics, automated where possible
  • Communicate with global network and ensure best practices are followed
  • Working closely with SEM Specialist, develop strong testing and analysis framework

In 12 months:

  • Lead analysis of vendor reporting and insights development without senior support
  • Take ownership of day-to-day relationships and ways of working
  • Develop reporting solutions and processes for client teams to easily understand and track performance

What you’ll bring:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Business level English and Japanese – ability to manage daily communication with local retailers like Amazon and Rakuten, local and regional client/teams
  • 3-4 years’ experience in relevant analytics experience, preferably in an e-commerce and/or digital agency
  • Knowledge of one or more of querying language is a plus (R, Python, SQL)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint for clear reporting capability
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented approach, natural affinity with numbers and analysis
  • Ability to leverage data visualization tools such as Power BI, Google Datastudio and MS Excel to present insights tailored for various audiences
