GroupM Regional Finance team Hong Kong is looking a Regional Senior Finance Manager strong at financial and reporting background to take care of regional management reporting and analysis for countries across the region.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to Regional Financial Director GroupM APAC

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:

  • Built relationships with the key stakeholders across the group.
  • Understood P&L structures and performance indicators, reporting requirements, WPP and GroupM finance and accounting policies and practices.

 In six months:

  • Developed your understanding of GroupM’s businesses structure.
  • Possessed solid understanding of the regional reporting and analysis requirement.

In 12 months:

  • Developed a structural and dynamic financial planning analysis reporting with Market.
  • Support the information and analysis request from Senior Management effectively. Manage the change request with market and commercial finance independently.


What your day job looks like at GroupM: 


Working closely with regional commercial and country finance on reviewing the financial report and performance.  Provide financial analysis and report to support business decision making.  Ensure compliance for the regional reporting requirement, drive for process improvement, support change management and ad hoc request.


  • Prepare the monthly key performance indicator (KPI) report. 
  • Analyse and review the financial performance for the region.  Perform variance analysis and provide management highlight for risk and opportunity. 
  • Co-ordinate and prepare the financial information and analysis required by global, regional and senior management. Provide guidance to the country and regional finance team.  
  • Support financial budget and forecast process and review for the region and prepare long-term plan.
  • Review busines case, e.g. leasing, capital investment.   
  • Act as a business partner with regional teams (e.g. IT) and provide financial support.
  • Support the SOX reporting compliance and change management work.
  • Support process improvement and ad hoc project.


What you will bring:

  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related studies, ACCA/CPA or equivalent
  • At least 8 to 10 year experience in MNC or sizable organization. Proven skills in financial analysis, reporting and group consolidation, ideally a mix of audit and commercial experience
  • Strong business acumen and able to understand management prospective in analysing the financial performance
  • Previous experience in SOX controls and Hyperion system is highly preferable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese, both Cantonese and Mandarin preferred
