ROLE OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Senior Engineer, this role plays a critical role in delivering analytical solutions as part of our first Global Offshoring Hub. As an Implementation Engineer you will work with our broader team within the analytics hub and support clients delivering on their analytics needs.
AREA OF EXPERTIZE:
Acceleration is part of WPP, the world’s largest advertising and marketing services group. Clients come to us to solve today’s biggest challenges, surrounding the use of data and technology, to support delivery of improved digital marketing experiences for their customers, across paid, owned and earned environments. Typically, their biggest area of investment is media, and using data and technology, to un-lock value in this area is critical. You will display a distinctive level of subject matter expertise on how to architect and deliver advertising / marketing technology and data strategies that accelerate client value, by increasing customer engagement and personalization in this area. Google is a key partner of ours, and a primary route to market – knowledge of the Google Marketing Platform as well as how Google Cloud can improve marketing efforts is a strong bonus.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are looking for a Digital Analytics Implementation Engineer to offer domain expertise and client support for our Global Offshore Hub. You will work closely with our Onshore teams and help with design, development, and validation of Analytics data for the Google Analytics platforms.
This role focuses on working with the broader analytics hub to support the design and implementation of customized analytics and attribution strategies as well as creating training and deployment processes that scale globally. You will be required to provide expertise and insight into our client's data for them to get more value out of their Analytics investments. This includes the assessment and migration of tags, their functionality and supporting our clients move to be less dependent on 3rd party cookies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hands on implementation of clients’ analytics accounts including properties, user management, dashboards, and reporting
- Plan, design and implement data analytics across a portfolio of digital channels and platforms in the Google Analytics 360/GA4 suite
- Establish standard processes for clients’ digital properties to set up, maintain and track data for reach, engagement, performance, and other behavior metrics
- Work with developers and product owners to determine appropriate metrics and behavior to track new and existing properties
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2/3+ years hands-on experience with Google Analytics 360(Universal Analytics, GA4) and Google Tag Manager
- Experience with Google Tag Manager Server-Side, TealiumIQ, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch advantageous
- Ability to read and write front-end languages like HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Math, or Statistics/Economics
- Excellent analytic, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with proven ability to deliver actionable insights
- Able to relay technical requirements to engineers for execution of custom code
- Experience reading API documentation and understanding the technical requirements for implementation with other platforms
- Experience in tag architecture analysis and using tagging platform(s) to execute proper data flow
- Ability to explain architecture proposals to non-technical audiences and communicate business value of suggested ideas & plans
- Experience of designing measurement frameworks
