GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. 

GroupM's new technology platform unit, [m]PLATFORM, is currently looking for a SEO Specialist to join us.

You will be responsible for the creation of SEO proposal and statement of work and expected to have a broad understanding of all aspect that effect SEO strategy and performance; Technical SEO, Onpage & Offpage SEO, search intent and consumer insights, website UX, content strategy, content marketing, content creation and content development process as well as conversion rate optimization.

Measures of success –

In three months, you would have:

  • Take ownership of existing projects and clients.
  • Gain understanding of existing processes and tools to ensure successful deliver of client work.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders within assigned Agency
  • Train and further develop existing team members on advanced SEO strategy development.

In six months, you would have:

  • Deliver growth in Agency revenue towards meeting targets.
  • Build upon and improve efficiencies in developing client deliverables
  • Train and further develop existing team members on advanced SEO strategy development.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Client retention and growth of Agency to meet and exceed revenue targets
  • Fully managing all assigned clients requiring only high level oversight from Director on client’s day-to-day activities.
  • Train and further develop existing team members on advanced SEO strategy development.
Responsibilities of the role:

Client service

  • Ensure high level of service are delivered from all SEO projects team member working on.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered to a professional standard and in line with the agreed timings.

Strategy

  • Supporting the development of the optimal owned media strategy and owned media activation for clients based on their budgets, target audience and KPIs.
  • Ensure owned media planning approach consider multiple platforms like web, social, apps and marketplaces.
  • Providing analysis, audit and plan using a combination of resources include search, social, content, audience auditing tool.
  • Providing on-page and off-page (content marketing) strategy and coordination with team to deliver best-in-class SEO projects.

Planning and Performance

  • Provide project planning timeframe and response to client briefs.
  • Regular monitor content on the client’s site and as well as content marketing plan delivery.
  • Supporting the development of client target and ensuring content marketing implementation achieves the KPIs set out at the campaign planning stage.

Team Management

  • Line-management of all individuals within team including making sure timesheets are complete, signing off holiday, illness and conducting appraisals and objective setting.
  • Study and find new insights in an ever evolving digital marketing
  • Coaching, training, progression and personal development of all team members.
  • Running regular status meeting with agencies teams to ensure campaign activity is progressing as planned and that there is appropriate communication to the client from across the account team.

Relationship

  • Respected business-led relationship with direct team members, ability to both professionally nature and critique team members.
  • Strong collaborative relationship with lead members of both Business team, client’s web development.
  • Working relationship with business planning team as and when appropriate, in order to understand paid content marketing plan and execution.
  • Working relationship with peers within [m]PLATFORM Services who manage other channel disciplines (Paid Search, Paid Social, Display and E-commerce)
  • Friendly, professional relationship with all clients.
  • Collaborative relationship with third-party agencies
  • Positive relationships with suppliers and creation of new initiative to continue service expansion.

What you will need:

  • Have a habit to catch up SEO industry trends, movement and ecosystem changes which may related to SEO campaign performance.
  • Must be keen in learning other search engine mechanics such as, Youtube Search, Ecommerce Search and internal website search algorithm
  • Have abilities to use and utilize SEO tools including Google Search Consoles, Google Webmaster tool, Google keyword planner, Ahrefs, DeepCrawl, MOZ, SerpBoo Etc.
  • Deep familiarity with the core strategies used for SEO, in particular technical optimization, as well as keyword research, content, linking, digital asset optimization etc.
  • Ability to work face-to-face with client teams is essential.
  • Web analytics experience is essential. Advanced configuration and analysis experience/certifications are desirable.
  • Web Development Skills – HTML, CSS, JavaScript and server-side scripting languages.
  • Understanding of common web server technologies, and popular content management systems, their limitations and how to work within these to achieve SEO requirements
