Wavemaker is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP.  In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Media Executive to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the media team across the full planning and buying process.

Measures of success – 

In three months, you would have:

  • Develop, plan, execute and measure social media campaigns
  • Have a basic understanding on the social media landscape in Hong Kong
  • Analyze information on market trends, business and competitive activities for marketing report

In six months, you would have:

  • Confident to plan and strategize social media campaigns, and allocate the needed budget for each campaign
  • Provide strategic social media advice and guidance to ensure clients' objectives are met and exceed clients' expectations

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Ability to independently manage, execute and optimise campaigns across all media platforms with little supervision
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage various accounts in a timely and professional manner
  • Identify opportunities for growth and implement new test and learn to meet client’s goals, while maximizing website traffic and drive audience engagement with brand

What your day job looks like at Wavemaker:

  • Work with accounts teams under the guidance of the Account Director and Manager in assisting the media team across the full planning and buying process
  • Compile monthly brand competitive analysis report
  • Update monthly media schedules and media flowcharts according to the on-going changes
  • Assist individual colleagues in preparing campaign recommendation and post campaign report; and ad hoc request when needed
  • Understanding the client and campaign ecosystem, such as learning to use social media ad platforms, reporting platforms, media metric definitions, paid media type and various ad formats
  • Administrate the planning and buying documents and billing processes
  • Participate in client meetings and presentation
  • Attend various entry-level trainings and certifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • University degree
  • Must be flexible, highly motivated and able to work independently on multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of social media tools, analytical tools and vendor liaison
  • Must be well organized and have strong quantitative/analytical skills
  • Experienced with the luxury market is a plus
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese is a must
  • Must be numerate and have strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
