Overview of the Job

This is hybrid role that gives you exposure to both performance media and ecommerce strategies, which is a promising opportunity as APAC continues to make fast progress in this direction. You will be responsible for performance channel planning, lead implementation and help drive digital best practices for our clients. You will be the go-to digital person for clients and agency partners for your accounts and proactively lead presentations and meeting discussions.

You must possess excellent working knowledge of paid digital channels driving traffic to ecommerce marketplaces and familiar with paid search on marketplaces like Lazada and Shopee.

Measures of Success

In three months:
• Fully up to speed with the platform analytics and strategy frameworks for existing clients at EssenceMediacom
• Be the point person for clients’ ecommerce consultation
• Take on maintenance of proprietary EssenceMediacom tool on marketplace competitive intelligence
• Actively participating in agency updates, GroupM working group on analytics, data and tech

In six months:
• Be seen as the go-to person for ecommerce on-platform tools from the EssenceMediacom local teams
• Actively support PH Ecommerce lead on tools and capabity developments for the region
• Recommend processes and innovative ways to improve existing ways or working or streamline workflow

In twelve months:
• Actively steering the ecommerce pitches and credentials to clients
• Work with PH Ecommerce lead to drive new projects and revenue on analytics and tech
• Have the ability to lead client projects and meetings independently
• Be an active member of EssenceMediacom’s consultancy hub offering

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Competent in planning all digital channels and managing digital integration within the bigger communication plan.
• Own project management, ensure smooth workflow and get clients and team members up to speed on all tasks.
• Formulate performance media plans based on campaign objectives and GMV targets, working with paid social, paid search and programmatic specialists
• Responsible for planning and executing on-platform marketplace paid search campaigns with team support, including end to end setup, optimizations and reporting
• Tracks performance in reporting and dashboards
• Analysis and optimization of the campaigns
• Works with global ecommerce client practice lead to update on regional performance and share best practices
• Identifies long-term trends and insights, connecting it to the wider touchpoint planning approach
• Leads WIPs and quarterly business review, providing analysis and recommendations
• Main point of contact for regional clients, media partners and agency partners

Required Competencies

• Experience in conversion-led campaigns for ecommerce
• Understanding of digital platforms across paid search (Google Ads, Google Shopping, Google Shopping with Shopee), paid social (Facebook Collaborative Ads), programmatic (DV360) and other relevant digital channels
• Experience in paid search for Lazada and Shopee. Will be an advantage if candidate has familiarity with other marketplaces and D2C ecommerce.
• Knows know to use MSP and seller center for marketplaces
• Be up to date with new and upcoming performance and ecommerce formats
• Possesses strong analytical skills to analyze data and turn them into actionable insights
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
• Shows strategic ownership of key projects or topics and works across channels to find key points of success
• At least 4-5 years of overall experience in managing performance campaigns, of which 1-2 years of experience in the ecommerce marketplace space
