Mindshare is an agency of GroupM, the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for a Head of eCommerce to join us. In this role, you will be working in a start up mentality with the backing of the world’s largest media and digital agency.

Measures of success – 

In three months:

  • Manage key partners & internal stakeholders to drive strategic results across a variety of key regional clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional units to ensure maximum leverage of in-house capabilities, 
  • Identify appropriate partners such as online and offline merchants, regional platforms with heavy traffic, search engines, payment enablers, technology vendors, etc.

In six months, you would have:

  • Define, lead and execute on the strategic roadmap to develop ecommerce capability 
  • Implement strategy aggressively to drive revenue growth and market share across APAC.
  • Manage the eCommerce platform performance. Identify new opportunities and enhancements to drive traffic and orders.

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Map out and explain in detail the end-to-end client journey and the associated metrics and KPIs for each stage; as part of this responsibility, you will identify any customer friction points and find ways to solve them
  • Lead CRM and retention strategies to drive engagement, repeat purchases and launch communications to drive revenue
  • Become the ‘spokesperson’ for the practice having participated in external events to help build the profile of Mindshare

 

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Build and oversee a data-driven, long-term digital eCommerce roadmap that will positively impact the customer’s experience and the company’s strategic and financial goals
  • Manage the eCommerce platform performance. Identify new opportunities and enhancements to drive traffic and orders.
  • Help us think beyond just the obvious platforms. Present innovations and developments in the eCommerce space to key client stakeholders and outline potential new ways of working to enhance the eCommerce search proposition across their business.
  • Lead all eCommerce strategic initiatives, operational improvements and the implementation of digital eCommerce efforts.
  • Design, create and implement all new eCommerce platform strategies
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
  • Direct and oversee short-run and long-run eCommerce strategic planning
  • Continually monitor general economic environment and industry trends, directing updates to policies, plans, and goals so they are commensurate with external conditions
  • Review competitive landscape and best practices, adjusting plans and activities based upon identified information
  • Responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, and developing best practices
  • Meet financial objectives through annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting and results analysis. Oversee regular reporting of KPI’s


What you will need:

  • 7+ years of eCommerce experience in a senior role
  • Solid experience in omni-channel retail, ideally in lifestyle, electronic products or fashion
  • Strong experience in setting and monitoring KPIs and driving action plans to deliver improvements
  • Self-starter approach to work, with an eagerness to take responsibility and consistently exceed goals
  • Knowledge of and familiarization with the latest web trends, techniques and eCommerce technologies
  • Exceptional analytical skills managing large amounts of data and ability to turn insights into actions
  • Advanced skills launching and managing products within eCommerce business platforms
  • Thorough understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics/analytics/ and testing
  • Experience breaking down complex situations and subjects into easy to understand concepts and action items
  • Experience using seller tools such as WooCommerce/Magento/Shopify, eBay, Amazon Seller Central
