PAY : $42,500 / year plus bonus

Position Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager will assist the Warehouse and Collection manager in the operational processes in our Warehouse and Collection department. The operational process of the warehouse and collections include scheduling employees and truck drivers to meet business needs, assigning employees to key production stations ensuring daily production goals are met. Creating daily dispatch for truck drivers and deliveries. Unloading/loading trucks or trailers. Managing Goodwill of Dallas Warehouse and Collection operation is a key organizational process that is both rewarding and hard work. The key components of the role are to achieve daily production goals and timely and accurate delivery of equipment or product to store locations.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Partner with the Manager to mentor, coach, motivate and supervise Warehouse and Collection employees.
Lead by example to ensure that all procedures and best practices are consistently followed.
Comply with Agency policies and Donated Goods Retail standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and the Agency’s safety and security policies and procedures.
Performs all duties of the Warehouse and Collection operation which include, but not limited to, assisting in loading/unloading of the Organization’s trucks and trailers, sorting donated goods, loading and unloading equipment.
Prepare and submit reporting and daily activity reports are required in a timely manner.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Work closely with Payroll, Benefits, IT, and other partners to help facilitate proper onboarding and offboarding employees in our systems.
Partner with the Safety and Asset Protections teams to support cross-functional needs.
Other duties as assigned.


Preferred/Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Associate degree or completion of related retail management course work preferred.
2 years of experience in a supervisory role of 20 or more employees and /or demonstrated success in a DGR leadership position with completion of Goodwill assigned training.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coach and tactfully assist fellow employees.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and organize work.
Critical thinking skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
Ability to thrive in fast-paced, deadline driven work environment.
Position Specifics:

Works in a climate-controlled retail or production environment most of the time but will be exposed to airborne particles such as dust, mold, dirt, pollen as well as extreme heat and cold.
Open scheduling availability is required to meet the needs of the business. Work schedule may include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Works 45 hours per week or more as required.
Moderate noise level.
Occasional travel required.
