The VP of Product Marketing, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, will be responsible for defining and executing product-centric GTM strategy that results in pipeline growth and conversion.  They will lead the product marketing and technical marketing teams, responsible for the product positioning, strategy and execution of go-to-market initiatives.  The VP will partner closely with product, sales, enablement, and marketing teams. 
 
This position is based out of our Santa Clara, CA headquarters, with an expectation of working onsite three days per week under a hybrid work model.
 
What you’ll do  
  • Lead and manage the product marketing and technical marketing teams, setting vision, priorities, and execution standards across the portfolio. 
  • Establish, implement and continuously refine the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for Gigamon products, targeting existing customer expansion & new logo acquisition. 
  • Build a world-class PMM process and team that consistently connects customer value and product capabilities. 
  • Build a strong partnership with marketing groups, sales enablement, field teams and product groups; ensuring alignment and consistency in product positioning. 
  • Deliver product strategy and enablement for the sales organization, including best practice guides, reference architectures, demos, and other technical content. 
  • Manage, track, and optimize performance against key operational and tactical metrics such as product and market share, adoption of high-value use cases, revenue and attach rates, and competitive win rates. 
 
What you’ve done 
  • Built a 15–20+ year career in B2B enterprise product marketing, including 7–10 years in an enterprise security company with responsibility for product marketing strategy and execution. 
  • Demonstrated success leading product marketing teams in a growing company with multiple product lines, regions, and distribution channels. 
  • Gained experience in networking, cybersecurity and/or mobile service provider markets (highly preferred). 
  • Proven your ability to translate complex technical concepts and features into clear, compelling customer benefits, value-based solutions, and differentiated messages. 
  • Presented company and product strategy, roadmap, and vision to customers, partners, analysts, and other industry influencers with strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Recruited, developed, and retained high-performing product and technical marketing talent, building teams that consistently deliver high-quality outputs. 
  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred.

The base salary compensation range targeted for this role is expected to be between $272,000 - $320,000 (subject to terms and conditions of the plan). This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the Company’s compensation practices.
