Key Responsibilities

  • Know the Company Vision Statement and understand the four Core Values
  • Responsible for all aspects of Casino Security: including protection of Casino assets, safety of customers and employees, compliance with Internal Control procedures and legal implications of the Gaming Control Act, Liquor License Act, Trespass to Property Act
  • Maintaining a presence on the gaming floor to be able to quickly respond to customer inquiries, or emergencies.
  • Controlling access to the facility in accordance with our Regulatory Policy (Minors, Intoxicated Guests, Banned Individuals). Monitor sensitive areas, escorting visitors, assisting departments
  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas of the Casino, Hotel and Parking Lots     
  • Provide information and directions requested by patrons, employees
  • Act in a fair and professional manner
  • Prepare detailed documentation of significant activities (notebooks, statements, reports, etc)
  • Provide emergency medical assistance to guests and employees
  • Smile and be courteous
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards.
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Law & Security or equivalent is an asset.
  • Concert Security or Casino Security experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written skills, attention to detail.
  • Proven high level of Customer Service.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Individual must have or be eligible for AGCO Category 2 Licensing.
  • The ability to participate in Gateway's Use of Force & Passive Tactics Training Program. 
  • Certification in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain First Aid and CPR certification
