The Casino Project Technician will be a corporate team member that is focused on Slot and Table Games projects in the following categories; new development/construction/renovations, slot and/or table games installations, Gaming System conversions (GMS) and updates, recurring machine maintenance and repair programs, slot and table games conversions/refresh.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform slot machine installations, relocations and conversions throughout Ontario
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic gaming devices and related equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance of electronic gaming devices and related equipment
  • Pre-stage electronic gaming devices for deployment to gaming facilities
  • Monitor electronic gaming device activities for adherence to casino policies and AGCO standards
  • Validation electronic Gaming devices to the master Slot File
  • Work on casino related special projects as assigned
  • Meet department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards
  • Perform any additional duties in line with the position and as assigned

What You Bring
  • 1-4+ years of casino technical and/or operations industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma with emphasis in electronic technology
  • Experience with Gaming Systems preferred; Ability to use and understand Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Words, etc.) email, Internet navigation and presentation software (PowerPoint or other software)
  • Excellent communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong understanding of casino products (slots & table games), systems and/or similar environments
  • Travelling up to 50% of time within the Gateway Casinos Ontario gaming Portfolio.
  • Must have a valid Ontario Drivers License – Class G
  • Physical demands include ability to lift 75 pounds repeatedly; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and work in a loud environment
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario The ability to obtain registration as a Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
