The Position

To work in the Laundry area washing and processing clean linen, terry, uniforms and Food and Beverage linens accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sort and weigh soiled linen to prepare for wash load volumes
  • Load and unload washing machines
  • Load and unload dryers
  • Process hotel linen and Food and Beverage linen on the ironer
  • Prepare racks with clean linen and terry for all  guest room linen closets 
  • Process dried towels on the towel folder
  • Prepare racks of  clean Terry for the spa, mini spa and pool
  • Wash, dry and process uniforms.  Hang in the appropriate rack on the automated  carousel for employee pick up
  • Ensure all linen is counted and recorded appropriately on production logs
  • Monitor and replace Laundry Chemical Barrels as required
  • Operate within the Safety Operating Standard procedures at all times; always utilize PPE 
  • Report any equipment deficiencies immediately to leadership for safety purposes
  • Must be able to work effectively within a team environment and have the ability to communicate effectively
  •  Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Adhere to departmental quality standards.
  • Perform other related and compatible duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Knowledge of working in a cleaning/Laundry Facility an asset.
  • Must be able to work independently or as a team.
  • Good verbal and written English communications skills.
  • Good time management and the skills ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
  • Must meet the physical requirements of the position
