Salary Range: $96,482.93 - $121,053.66 

Your Role

The Manager, IT - Financial Systems is responsible for day-to-day management of Financial Application Systems, business applications support and analyses mainly for the Finance department. This includes support for new system implementations, documenting business processes, identifying and improving efficiencies via application configuration and integration with other systems, and act as an administrator for the Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics Financial systems.

What You Bring

  • Experience with Great Plains is required.
  • BSc / BA Applications Development or Financial Systems.
  • Accounting designation would be an asset.
  • Experience with a full scope ERP system implementation project preferably as the project lead or in some leadership capacity.
  • Experience with mapping out system architecture, systems integration and consolidation of systems and products.
  • Experience writing and leading RFP process.
  • Thorough knowledge of SQL databases, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains, ERP, Dynamics cloud, MS Excel - VBA, scripting Languages, Inventory Systems – Optimum Control, Great Plains.
  • Hospitality and/or gaming operations experience in a technical support role would be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Paramount WorkPlace, Optimum Control, Micros & Oracle POS, Squirrel POS, V1, and Cognos would be considered an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as IT Lead for financial system (Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains) conversion and integration.
  • Acts as the IT Lead in the future for a full-scale ERP systems implementation project.
  • As the Company reviews how to amalgamate systems and a potential new ERP, continues to update, support, and administer daily capabilities for various financial systems including but not limited to: Great Plains, Management Reporter, Acumatica, and all related report generation function.
  • Provides technical and end user support for the organization’s Financial applications and related system including configuration of financial modules and procurement and EFT setup.
  • Documents and supports policies, procedures and planning related to the effective integration of technology. 
  • Involved in and provides technical support for new implementations, changes, and updates to enterprise applications.
  • Develops and maintains business processes.
  • Works together with the Purchasing department to develop Requests for Proposals (RFP) for new IT/Finance system(s) on an as needed basis including scoping of requirements, liaising with key stakeholders, reviewing RFP’s, negotiating pricing, and providing recommendations.
  • Act as the IT Lead and work with technology partners to perform user support, application installation, upgrades planning and execution of all financial system projects while maintaining Financial systems flow.
  • Provides User Acceptance Testing including test script development, extraction tools to support merge and reports of the system environment.
  • Conducts and develops ongoing user training.
  • Seeks to improve business processes and technology on an ongoing basis.
  • Develops and/or documents user application procedures and updates as changes occur.
  • Acts as the first point of contact for technical and user issues as well as initiatives related to all business systems, tools, and applications.
  • Implements necessary system and technical controls and works with Internal Audit to ensure proper controls are in place for all business processes.
  • Liaises regularly with operations departments.
  • Assists with general IT support of the Financial environment when required.
  • Assists with reporting and analysis when required.
