Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and demonstrate expert knowledge of event promotions.
  • Oversees the full operation of the Restaurant and Bar areas. 
  • Ensure profitability of restaurant by achieving financial and performance goals.
  • Supervise shift operations, including all employee and guest related functions.
  • Motivate team to deliver top-notch service to ensure exceptional guest experience.
  • Participate in training and guidance of employees.
  • Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash-outs and daily sales reporting.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for cash management activities.
  • Oversees performance, safety and recruitment and development needs of the department. Manages the performance of direct reports including: training, appraising performance, providing positive and corrective feedback, coaching, and administering discipline. Ensures appropriate appraisals and accountabilities are undertaken.
  • Follow Smart Serve and company policies.

 

What You Bring

  • 3 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant or four-star hotel and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to manage issues and empower a team to excel.
  • A relationship-builder who encourages open communication and collaboration.
  • Time-management savvy and expert multitasker who thrives in the excitement of casino operations.
  • Strategic thinker who has an eye for detail and a capacity to see the big picture.
  • Benefit from working flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
  • WHMIS training preferred.
  • Wine knowledge or experience as a Wine Steward an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, both speaking and writing.
  • Working knowledge of computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and people skills.
  • An eye for detail, reliable, punctual, efficient, and diligent in duties and responsibilities.
  • Smart Serve Certification 
  • Food Safe Level 1 certificate.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
