The Position
As a C.R.E.W. member of the Hotel Housekeeping Team, we are looking for considerate, enthusiastic people who enjoy cleaning and maintaining our magnificent hotel suites and facilities. We are proud to continue to promote our patrons high standards of cleanliness they have come to know and expect from Casino Rama. 
 
Key Responsibilities 
PUBLIC AREA 
  • Clean and maintain all public areas including, but not limited to, back of the house, public washrooms, lobby, banquet and employee areas according to standard cleaning procedures;
  • Dust and polish furniture, lamps, planters and fixtures and vacuum in public areas, back of house, the lobby, elevators and main floor areas;
  • Clean glass surfaces and windows; clean all doors in hotel and rotunda areas; sweep lobby entrance both inside and out;
  • Clean and tidy employee locker rooms;
  • Clean and maintain Spa and Pool Area including, but not limited to, locker room, gym, pool deck, exterior patio and washrooms;
  • Clean offices, dust and wipe furniture, vacuum carpet and remove all garbage;
  • Comply with Casino Rama policies and procedures
  • Operate all types of required equipment such as vacuum, auto scrubber, buffer and lift;
  • Perform specific detailed cleaning such as window cleaning and carpet cleaning;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
ROOMS 
  • Respond to all Guest requests such as extra pillows and amenities in a professional and efficient manner; retrieve items when due to be returned;
  • Collect dirty linen, garbage and dirty glasses from the Room Attendant carts;
  • Organize and re-stock all linen closets with items needed for the guest room such as amenities and extra linen;
  • Clean and maintain all guest room areas such as hallways, ice machine, guest and service elevator landings;
  • Empty and dispose of garbage in lobby area and administrative offices;
  • Restock Room Attendant baskets and refill cleaning bottles;
  • Overnight shifts will require additional duties including, but not limited to,:
    • Deep clean all public washrooms (lobby, banquet,  employee areas),
    • Deep clean Spa and Pool area such as locker room, mini spa, treatment room, gym, pool deck, hot tub
    • Deep clean all hotel Restaurants after closing times (Weirs, Cedar, St. Germaine’s, Firestarter)
    • Dust and vacuum banquet rooms
  • Comply with Casino Rama policies and procedures
  • Operate all types of required equipment such as vacuum, auto scrubber, buffer and lift;
  • Perform specific detailed cleaning such as window cleaning and carpet cleaning;
  • Clean guest rooms as required;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned;
 
What You’ll Require 
 
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment;
  • Reliable and dependable work ethic;
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills;
  • Good time management skills; must have the ability to multi-task in a busy, fast paced work environment;
  • Must be able to push and pull supply cart 50 lbs. force; frequent lifting of housekeeping supplies 2-25 lbs;
  • Must be able to perform essential duties that require frequent use of hands, wrists, arms, shoulders and back to grip, carry, lift and bend;
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods (regular work shift 8 hours);
  • Strong customer service skills
  • French language skills (verbal and written) are an asset
