As the Graphic Designer, you’ll be asked to binge-watch shows on Netflix, see the most recent Disney movie, and keep up with pop culture trends so you can concept and design amazing marketing assets that bust through the marketing clutter and get fans excited for their next Funko Pop!
Job Summary:
The Graphic Designer is a prolific, creatively driven, super organized member of the team, and has the growing design skills to confidently shapeshift between pop culture worlds as varied as you can imagine - from horror to anime to sports and everything in between.
Your Superpowers in Action:
  • Ability to work within both Funko’s brand identity as well as the visual aesthetic of our many Licensor partners, while always pushing the envelope of what’s possible.
  • Collaborate in real-time with team members in Copy, Photo, Video, and Licensor Approvals.
  • Ability to communicate a strong point of view while hearing feedback and taking direction.
  • Comfortable ‘getting out in the hallways’ to communicate with other departments including Marketing, Events, Social, Sales, and more.
  • Flexing your design skills to meet the medium, from thumb-stopping social content to densely-packed emails to video and motion-based assets.
  • Ability to share your point of view with peers on the Design team to continuously push each other’s work to be the best it can be.
  • Curiosity to try new approaches and experiment with new types of design solutions.
 
Must-Have Superhero Gadgetry:
  • 4+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably for a creatively driven consumer product company, design firm, or advertising agency.
  • Experience with all forms of digital marketing (paid/organic social, website, banners, email) required.
  • Experience with print and point of sale preferred.
  • Experience with video and motion desired.
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or similar.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat)
  • Elevated skills in typography, color theory, and visual/messaging hierarchy.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at various stages of development.
  • Calm under pressure and solution-oriented.
  • Proactive and positive thinker.
  • Extremely high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential intellectual property and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company.
  • Detail-oriented and buttoned up in all your work.
  • Hunger to learn about new pop culture fandoms beyond what you already love.
  • Experience with Asana is a bonus but not required.
  • Experience with licensed products is a bonus but not required.
  • Must have a complete portfolio showing your design work.
Salary Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $67,725 - $82,000 annually.​Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
