The role  
We are looking for a Legal Manager. 
 
The Litigation team carry out all debt recovery and insolvency procedures with their own unique approach that is defining the recovery culture in the lending market.

What will you be doing? 
We are looking for a Legal Executive/Legal Counsel - Litigation Manager to join a strong and high performing team. 
  • Manage and oversee a team of Litigation Paralegals and oversee the successful achievement of individual, departmental and business targets ensuring Investor returns are protected 
  • People management including individual performance management, coaching, setting targets over a broad range of KPI’s and tracking performance against these targets 
  • Managing a caseload, negotiating with regard to Insolvency and Litigation matters and ensuring cost spends are managed and recovery of costs achieved 
  • Drafting and filing court documents in order to commence and conclude formal recovery action on behalf of investors 
  • Drafting and negotiating security documents, such as charges and deeds of priority, and settlement agreements. 
  • Liaising with external panel firms with regard to issues and cases. 
  • Providing a wide variety of legal support to the Litigation Manager, the wider Collections and Recoveries team and the wider business/stakeholders. 
  • Proactively problem solving, identifying and confidently mitigating any risks, issues or control weaknesses that arise in your day-to-day 
What we’re looking for  
  • Experienced Litigator/Debt Collection Manager with Commercial/Financial Litigation experience and strong technical legal skills  
  • Experience in operational leadership and management, to include leading a team and managing performance and updating stakeholders accordingly 
  • Excellent communicator, with natural interpersonal and leadership skills with a high degree of self-awareness, confidence and resilience,  
  • Able to make and follow through on difficult decisions 
  • Excellent negotiator with business acumen and commercial awareness 
  • Insolvency experience is desirable.
