Technology Project Delivery Manager
We are looking for a Technology Project Delivery Manager to join our Tech Optimisation Team.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Tech Optimisation, the Project Delivery Manager is key to owning and managing the delivery of cross-group initiatives, ensuring key Technology outcomes are met. They will also help ensure effective quarterly roadmap planning, apply their expertise in delivery management to accelerate team delivery performance where needs arise, and drive the standard and pace of delivery in Technology overall.
The role requires a proactive, experienced project delivery professional with exceptional stakeholder management skills. You will be a skilled communicator, able to build trust based on attention to detail, transparency and accountability. Someone with the experience and skills to mobilise others around a clear vision and plans, you will hold others accountable and drive action, whilst also being prepared to get hands-on and tackle decisions and tasks to move things forward. Resourceful, enthusiastic and proactive, you will be adept in creating alignment and confidence with the teams you work with and your stakeholders through collaborative planning, and clear, transparent communication and reporting.

The role
- Ensures our top initiatives have clear delivery plans that define scope, outcomes, delivery risks & dependencies.
- Manages multiple initiatives/projects of varying sizes concurrently.
- Supports the quarterly planning process, proactively managing cross-portfolio delivery risks and ensuring teams are aligned.
- Closes projects, ensuring operational readiness, clarity on outcomes achieved, and consolidating lessons learned.
- Champions and elevates our standard and pace of delivery.
What we’re looking for
- Solid project management experience with at least 5+ years in a technology environment, managing initiatives across a variety of domains e.g. product development, infrastructure, security or data, with a focus on achieving outcomes.
- Proficient in project delivery methodologies (agile, lean, waterfall) and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence etc)
- Highly organised, able to establish clarity and momentum rapidly on new projects and drive delivery, getting hands on to unblock issues as needed, and mobilising others to take ownership and action.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, able to create a sense of clarity, structure and focus for others in complex situations; excellent reporting skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management.
- Resourceful, enjoys problem solving and is tenacious in pursuing solutions. Handles challenges and pressure with diplomacy, pragmatism and calm.
- A collaborative working style, with the ability to recognise when a directive approach is beneficial.
- Strategic and analytical mindset, with a commitment to self-reflection, learning and continuous improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience as an Engineering Manager, Business Analyst or Change Manager, would be advantageous.
- Project management qualifications, such as those accredited by PMI, Axelos, APM or APMG
- Proficiency using project management tools such as Jira.
- Experience designing and facilitating cross functional workshops.
- Experience using quantitative data and metrics to monitor delivery progress.
