What Makes a FirstCash IT Security Manager:  
The IT Security Manager works in support of compliance and data security requirements for the organization. The IT Security Manager will also provide management and oversight for the IT Disaster Recovery, IT Configuration Management. The position ensures that adequate and effective security processes & controls and lifecycles are followed and aligned to deliver compliance with established security policies. The IT Security Manager will support the IT department by implementing security controls and processes that follow best practices to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, specifically Sarbanes Oxley and Payment Card Industry Standards. The IT Security Manager works with a wide variety of people from different internal organizational units, bringing them together to manifest controls that reflect workable compromises as well as proactive responses to current and future information security risks, and is responsible for raising awareness of risks to upper management.

Essential Job Duties:  
  • Manage a department within the IT organization, focusing on IT data security, disaster recovery, and compliance processes and initiatives, acting as the central point of contact and collaborating with other organizations within the company in these matters.
  • Execute and refine IT compliance processes and associated monitoring/testing methodologies
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors and provide primary coordination efforts within IT for all IT audit requests
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of required IT audit and compliance corrective action plans as appropriate
  • Works with other teams within the organization to identify current and future internal and external security vulnerabilities and identifies the best ways to reduce information security risks.
  • Conduct Periodic self-audits on processes and policies to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Ensure adequate and effective IT controls exist to meet current and future security compliance requirements found in laws and regulations such as the Sarbanes Oxley Act and Payment Card Industry Standards.
  • Provides oversight to the IT organization's security Configurations
  • Periodically reviews controls and policies and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Identifies and implements tools and architectures to better secure the data network.
  • Manages the implementation of security for critical systems.
    
Span of Control:  
  • Manages at least 2 people (typically exempt coworkers or professional non-exempt coworkers)
  • Work is performed without appreciable direction.
  • May manage external vendor relationships.
  • Establishes goals and objectives for self and coworkers within the reporting structure.
    
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business/Computer Science degree preferred)
  • Security and audit-related certifications
  • ITIL Foundations Certification
  • CISSP Certifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Policies and Procedures development and implementation
  • Ability to manage complex project efforts.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of working closely with upper management.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives.
  • Consistently display the ability to interact and communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with groups involved with information security and compliance matters such as the Legal Department, Internal Audit, and HR.
