Who we are looking for:

First Eagle is seeking an ESG Analyst to join the Global Value team.  The ESG Analyst will work with the senior ESG analyst, Head of Stewardship, and the research analysts to accelerate our ESG integration efforts, refine our processes and deepen our consideration of material ESG factors in our investments.


What you will do:

  • Assist with client RFPs, development of marketing and client communication materials and PRI reporting
  • Assist with ESG data collection and portfolio performance monitoring
  • Support industry research analysts and PM’s by enriching their consideration of material ESG factors
  • Conduct fundamental research aimed at understanding the material Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) issues of individual businesses
  • Engage with issuers on material ESG issues to better understand their potential impact to the business
  • Support the continued evolution of the firm’s ESG practice


The qualities you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in ESG research
  • Independence of thought, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial nature
  • Outstanding research skills as well as professional curiosity and flexibility.
  • Ability to research and understand materiality of ESG issues, business models, industry structures, and key success factors for a broad range of businesses across industries
  • Experience engaging with management teams on ESG issues preferred
  • Familiarity with ESG metrics and global ESG regulations
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong data and analytics skills
  • Global perspective
  • Ease in working with others and a collaborative team player

 

Base Salary range: $100,000 to $135,000.  In addition, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus. Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to – the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
