First Capital Summer Intern Program gives young professionals access to enriching opportunities to start and accelerate their careers. Our program is uniquely hands-on, allowing Interns to work alongside our leaders on exciting new projects and strategies. In addition to day-to-day projects, Interns will have access to a series of learning and

As a Construction Intern, you will assist with Pre-Construction and Construction of on-going large-scale Mixed-Use Projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Administration - Document management/coordination, JV Partner Meeting Agendas/Minutes
- Pre-construction – Assist Manager with Scheduling and Estimating efforts
- Construction Admin - Assist Coordinator with monthly Capital Call and invoice payment process
- Construction - Assist Project Managers with permitting processes and coordination with AHJs (authorities having jurisdiction), ie. Government agencies, Utility providers
- Construction Management - Assist Project Managers with preparation and review of Monthly Project Monitoring Reports, Request for Information responses, Subcontractor Drawing/Submittal reviews
WHAT YOU BRING:
- Prior experience and/ or knowledge of the Design and Construction of Multi-Unit Residential / Retail Buildings
- Ability to read and understand construction plans (Architectural, Structural, etc)
- Scheduling and/or On-screen Take-off software experience would be advantageous (ie. MS Project, Primavera, Bluebeam, OST)
- MS Office Suite
OUR APPLICATION PROCESS:
Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month, paid, in-person opportunities commencing on May 4, 2026, and concluding on August 21, 2026. Interns must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the program.
