First Capital Summer Intern Program gives young professionals access to enriching opportunities to start and accelerate their careers. Our program is uniquely hands-on, allowing Interns to work alongside our leaders on exciting new projects and strategies. In addition to day-to-day projects, Interns will have access to a series of learning and networking events, mentorship sessions, an end of term Capstone Project, and much more. The IT Project Intern will support the IT team in coordinating multiple technology initiatives, including the implementation of a Deal Workflow system, a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), and other IT projects. This role provides hands-on experience in project management and enterprise software deployment, offering exposure to change management and user training activities.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Deal Workflow System Implementation
 
  • Assist with documenting process changes and impacted workflows
  • Coordinate information and files with development partners
  • Schedule and organize meetings with stakeholders across the business
  • Maintain project documentation, including risk logs, issue trackers, and deployment checklists
  • Support unit testing activities
  • Assist in planning and executing change management initiatives     
CMMS 
 
  • Gather and update various unit details from the business
  • Locate historical data from Building Engines and create references for the teams
  • Document issues raised, resolutions, and ongoing solution discovery
  • Capture post-implementation feedback for system refinement
  • Develop training materials, including user guides, standard operating procedures, and training videos
  • Support delivery of on-site and remote training sessions 
Other Projects 
 
  • Stakeholder management and meeting coordination
  • Process documentation
  • Change management initiatives

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Self-motivated with problem-solving skills and a proactive, curious mindset
OUR APPLICATION PROCESS:
 
Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month, paid, in-person opportunities commencing on May 4, 2026, and concluding on August 21, 2026. Interns must be available on a full-time basis for the entire duration of the program.
