Wage Range: $25.08 - $43.09 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
 
Primary Duties: 
1. Sets, adjusts, and controls a variety of electronic equipment to apply low levels of ionizing radiation for radiographic Bone Density examinations.
2. Analyzes patient's general body size, physical condition, and age to accurately apply Bone Density procedure.
3. Measures and selects proper electronics and technical factors to provide a diagnostic Bone Density Scan.
4. Always maintains patient's privacy and confidentiality. Constantly aware of patient's dignity.
5. Performs designated review of patient’s chart ensuring all necessary documents are present and correct (i.e.: orders and outside imaging).
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:
  • Currently enrolled in or completed DEXA specific course.
  • Certification by International Society for Clinical Densitometry (Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist – CBDT) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire date.
  • Healthcare experience and/or patient care background
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
DESIRED for the position:
  • Bone Density experience
  • Epic experience
  • Registered with the State of Washington as an X-ray Technician.
  • Certification by International Society for Clinical Densitometry (Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist – CBDT)
