Wage Range: $85,717 - $137,114 per year

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary

Leads and supports the development, implementation, assessment, and organization wide compliance with patient safety program initiatives at EvergreenHealth. Responsible for the coordination of a broad range of activities that support and sustain a culture of safety that encourages active identification and mitigation of risks to the safety of our patients and recognizes the individual and organizational commitment required to achieve the highest level of safety.

 

Primary Duties:

  1. Works collaboratively with all levels of staff within the organization, including senior leadership, medical staff leadership, nursing and support staff to build a strong culture of safety and transparency across the organization.
  2. Stays current with industry and local patient safety priorities and practices, communicates changes/issues/trends to appropriate groups overseeing their response to the changes required.
  3. Assists with performing and analyzing results of the annual Patient Safety Culture Survey.
  4. Works closely with Risk Management and Patient Relations to integrate key findings/trends for further action.
  5. Maintains the Event Reporting System, identifies and communicates significant events, and ensures appropriate follow up to all events. Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and analysis of trends. Facilitates action plans as appropriate and works with leaders to ensure loop closure reporters.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

License, Certification, Education or Experience:


REQUIRED for the position:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or a related field
  • 5 years of related clinical experience
  • Leadership experience in healthcare setting
  • Knowledge in and the ability to apply the principles of project management and change management.
  • Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of the complexities of the healthcare system.
