Wage Range: $209,602 - $335,400 per year

EvergreenHealth is excited to announce the recruitment of an Executive Director of Pharmacy to lead and advance our pharmacy services across the system. This key leadership role will provide strategic direction, oversee pharmacy operations, and collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure safe, high-quality, and innovative medication management for our patients. The Executive Director will play an important role in shaping the future of pharmacy services at EvergreenHealth while supporting our mission to deliver exceptional care to the communities we serve.

Job Summary:
Responsible for the Pharmacy Operations throughout EvergreenHealth and is achieved within the context of the Organization’s Purpose and Mission. Reports to the Sr VP & Chief Medical & Quality Officer for organizational responsibilities and is accountable to the medical staff through the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.

Primary Duties: 
  1. Coordinates pharmacy services throughout the EvergreenHealth system: Hospital, Evergreen Professional Center retail pharmacy, Anticoagulation Clinic, Hospice, Evergreen Surgical Center, Evergreen Medical Center Redmond, Evergreen Medical Group (EMG) clinics, research and other locations where medications are provided.
  2. Establishes and directs effective management team structure for all pharmacy functions.
  3. Develops and implements short- and long-range plans for the operational aspects of Pharmacy Services.
  4. Manages selection and purchase of pharmaceuticals for use by EvergreenHealth.
  5. Leads and participates in interdepartmental committees, task forces, and work groups.
  6. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED for the position:
  • Current license as a pharmacist in the state of Washington
  • Baccalaureate or Doctor of Pharmacy degree
  • 3 years of hospital supervisory experience
  • A working understanding of financial management and a commitment to the provision of cost-effective healthcare
DESIRED for the position:
  • ASHP Accredited Residency
