About the role
 
As a Senior/Staff Systems Test Engineer, you will join a Systems Integration and Test team to design and draw test bed schematics, set up complete end to end systems that involve Gateways, EV Charges, AC Batteries, Micros, Controller switches, Load controls and Cloud and Mobile Apps for various countries. You will also interact with on and offshore teams, perform end-to-end system tests and publish results to key stakeholders while acting as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) for the assigned projects. You will perform various system test activities and participate in Beta trials in the field. This role offers daily challenges in a fast-paced, collaborative environment as we seek viable solutions to real-world problems.
 
What you will do 
  • Understand end-to-end System Architecture (HW + FW + SW +Cloud + Mobile App), design comprehensive System Test Plan. 
  • Strong grasp of Requirement analysis and Traceability matrix, challenge unclear requirements early
  • Perform System level test where various products interact seamlessly, investigate and understand test failures, write clear reproducible bug reports, and follow up with stakeholders until issues are resolved and verified 
  • Advocate quality early in the development cycle
  • Understand automated test frameworks and basic scripting (Python, Shell)
  • Lead assigned Beta program activities until beta exit is conducted
  • Think like a system installer, identify test gaps and catch issues before they show up in the field
  • Clear communication with hardware engineers, developers, program and product managers
  • Establishing and maintaining thorough and accurate documentation of all work including status updates to summarize project highlights
 
Who you are and What you bring
  • BE/ME degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, 5+ years of System Test experience that involves setting up a complete system, comprising multiple components
  • Hands-on experience with installing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining electrical equipment, must be able to draw Test Bed schematics.
  • Experience interacting with field application, engineering, and product management teams 
  • Expertise developing complex system test scenarios/use cases representing field conditions 
  • Expertise in Testing Embedded Systems, Integration of electrical design with mechanical and software elements of the system.
  • Good understanding of Linx environment.
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) includes Agile methodology.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Testing experience working in renewal field is a Big Plus 
The base pay range for this position is $105,000K to $162,000K. This salary range may be modified in the future. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, education or training, work location, and market conditions. This position is also eligible for bonus, equity, and benefits.
