Our Accounting team is looking for a Senior G/L Accountant to join our growing team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and detail-oriented, and works well in a team environment.

 

This role is responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, including preparing journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations, as well as monthly financial statements, financial audit preparation, accounting memos, and worldwide consolidation. The selected candidate will work independently with little supervision, demonstrating a high level of efficiency and accuracy. Since Egnyte is a fast-paced environment, the role requires someone who is adaptable and able to prioritize their workload. This position is a key contributor to a dynamic business environment and provides the opportunity to strengthen your understanding of both operational and technical accounting processes.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Period-end close activities, including complex journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis, as well as other duties in accordance with the company timelines and schedule
  • Manage the accurate and timely month-end procedures for high level key balance sheet and income statement accounts including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations
  • Drive process establishment or improvement and system implementation for financial processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with various organizations within the company by providing financial insights and relevant analysis / reporting
  • Research technical accounting rules and regulations, provide and implement recommendations on accounting issues
  • Serve as a key contributor for the auditors and facilitate various audit requests
  • Create and implement high level accounting policies, procedures and controls
  • Support management in dynamic projects in a fast-growing company
  • Work on-site in the Mountain View office at least three days per week

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive work experience
  • Big four public accounting experience or CPA preferred
  • ASC 842 experience preferred
  • Self-motivated and a problem solver with a "can-do" mentality and a strong desire to drive changes
  • A team player mentality and the ability to work independently
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the capability of manipulating, analyzing, and reporting large sets of data
  • NetSuite, Coupa and Blackline experience preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Ad hoc projects

 

COMPENSATION:

  • Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $110k - $140k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
