 WHAT YOU’LL DO:        

  • Work with fast-paced development team in designing and implementing our next generation, hybrid-cloud file sharing solution
  • Research and leverage latest cloud and distributed systems technologies to develop features, performance improvements and scalability for file sharing in cloud-to-on-premise and cloud-to-cloud settings
  • Own end-to-end feature development, from design through hands-on implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring in production and troubleshooting
  • Leverage data analytics to drive product design, usage, and adoption.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of complex problems that may involve third party software, network configurations and software relating to scaling and performance
  • Mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross functional teams, and work closely with Products team on roadmap items

        

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:        

  • 12+ years of end-to-end experience in the design and software development of highly scalable enterprise-level storage products including on-premise, hybrid and cloud storage solutions
  • Must have expert knowledge and current hands-on programming experience with Golang, C/C++ and Python plus Linux operating system fundamentals
  • Must have experience with file system development; any of the file serving protocols like SMB or NFS; file system performance tuning; caching
  • Understanding of public clouds, microservices and REST APIs
  • Ability to challenge and redefine existing architectural fundamentals to provide next level of performance and scalability; ability to foresee post-deployment challenges
  • Deep understanding and hands-on design and development experience of system level storage solutions including file system, block and/or object layer, handling the core data I/O path
  • Hands-on experience with design and troubleshooting of scalable web services, advanced storage systems, geographic replication, distributed databases on Linux and/or Windows platform
  • Experience with modern DevOps technologies such as Docker and container orchestration, service deployment, monitoring, and scaling
  • Ability to work with global teams, steering design and architectural decisions, technically leading junior engineers and closely coordinating with cross-functional teams in different time zones
  • Passion to deliver enterprise-grade products to customers and to continuously work with the engineering team to refine the product in the field

        

COMPENSATION:       

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across multiple U.S. geographic locations, and pay varies based on defined markets. The standard base pay range for this position across the U.S. is $180k-$240k annually. Pay varies by work location and may also be dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, and/or experience. During the interview and/or hiring process, your recruiter can share more information about the compensation package specific to the role and job location.
