As a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer specializing in AWS, this role will be at the forefront of our cloud infrastructure's operational excellence and innovation. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, efficiency, and scalability of our AWS platform, which is fundamental to the services we provide to both our internal teams and external clients. We seek a candidate with a deep dedication to demonstrating technology to solve problems and improve processes. For this position, we require someone with proven expertise in AWS, alongside a track record of technical leadership and multi-functional teamwork. You will be instrumental in understanding and aligning with the needs of various partners, ensuring our cloud platform meets and exceeds business objectives while maintaining a secure environment.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 
•    Serve as the domain expert (SME) on AWS Access management suite of services like Identity center, IAM, Organizations and related security services including but not limited to RAM, KMS, Config, Cloudtrail and Secrets Manager
•    Lead all aspects of the development and maintenance of configuration management practices on AWS, ensuring that all cloud resources are consistently configured in compliance with company policies and standard processes.
•    Develop and implement a comprehensive tagging strategy for AWS resources, facilitating cost allocation, operational management, and compliance tracking.
•    Work closely with development, security, and operations teams to integrate Identity, Config Management and tagging practices into the broader cloud strategy, ensuring flawless deployment and operation of cloud services.
•    Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Continually assess the cloud platform's security posture and operational efficiency, proposing and implementing improvements. Keep abreast of AWS features and standard methodologies to drive innovation and ensure the platform remains secure, scalable, and efficient. 
 
REQUIREMENTS 
•    Minimum of 8 years in cloud platform engineering, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS. Proven track record in IAM, configuration management, and resource tagging within AWS environments.
•    Advanced degrees or professional certifications in cloud computing (AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, AWS Certified Security Specialty) preferred.
•    Deep technical knowledge of Cloud Services like AWS, Akamai, Okta and Prisma.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (such as Terraform or CloudFormation) and automation practices. 
•    Strong understanding of cloud security principles and compliance frameworks. Experience crafting and implementing security policies and controls that meet regulatory requirements.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with collaborators at all levels with a demonstrated ability to lead projects, work on demand in a team environment and mentor team members in cloud-standard processes.
