As a Team Lead on the Engagement Center team, you’ll play a pivotal role by partnering with the Team Managers, QA and the Director, to whom they will report directly, to provide coaching, employee development and direct day-to-day support.
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this Team Lead role, we are seeking a candidate with proven understanding of the Financial Advisory functions who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt given business needs. This individual will need to be able to analysis data using team reporting, help with client escalations, and recognize advisor deficiencies. Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team to improve their advisory skills, sales techniques and comprehensive financial planning. Broadens associate’s views of their current role to understand and see their impact and opportunity within the business. Listens to call interactions, performs sides by sides, and conducts regular 1 on 1 coaching sessions to provide timely feedback which drives improvements in efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes.
- Partner closely with Team Managers and Director, to develop and execute upon coaching and employee development plans.
- Monitor team performance against aggressive sales targets and client satisfaction metrics, while providing support to ensure continuous improvement. Motivates team to reach targets, optimize conversation capacity and effectiveness, and meet objectives.
- Through analysis and sales funnel monitoring, partner with opportunity generating individuals and opportunity receiving individuals to deliver highest quality interactions and ensure opportunities are being managed effectively down-funnel.
- Prioritize ongoing training sessions on sales strategies, standard processes, and other similar skills to keep the team advised and effective to provide the experience our clients and prospective expect.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of financial services principles, products, and EFE planning experience.
- Consistent track record of high personal performance, while also having a positive impact on their broader team.
- Proven leadership and interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate their team(s).
- Strong emotional intelligence and ability to navigate critical client interactions with compassion.
- Strategic mentality, with a knack for analyzing performance metrics and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Bachelor’s Degree, business or financial subject area preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience in a licensed, client-facing financial services or sales role.
- Sales or advisory leadership experience preferred.
- Possess the Series 65 or Series 7 & 66 licenses; Relevant financial Designations (CFP, CRPC) preferred.
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $69,500-$92,700. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
