As VP, Institutional Marketing on the Employer Solutions team, you’ll play a pivotal role in collaborating and influencing cross-functionally to attract and retain large employers through creative marketing programs and innovative thought leadership.

For this  role, we are seeking a big-picture, strategic thinker with a demonstrated record of success in  aligning marketing strategies to business objectives. Responsibilities: 
  • Define and advise our institutional go-to-market product positioning and strategy, emphasizing competitive differentiation to expand into new areas and grow share in existing markets
  • Develop, plan, and implement annual, focused multi-channel marketing strategy, (content creation, paid promotions, email campaigns, events, etc.) to achieve large employer acquisition, retention and annual revenue growth
  • Drive strategic direction of client loyalty program, including leading high-touch engagements with Fortune 100 institutional clients, including but not limited to owning EFE’s Advisory Council, made up of the organizations' premier, most influential clients
  • Proactively lead ~$2M marketing budget; Establish success metrics and lead all aspects of monitoring, tracking, and reporting of results to drive continuous improvement and deliver a return on our marketing investment
  • Leverage digital tools and capabilities to establish and drive effective, marketing-led demand generation programs that attract, nurture and convert qualified leads within the pipeline
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with distribution teams (sales, relationship management, and, provider strategy) and other internal business partners (product, investment management, consumer marketing) to take a consultative approach to each strategic opportunity, developing winning ideas and demonstrating solutions to employers’ business challenges
  • Own EFE’s institutional brand story and value proposition, crafting compelling thought leadership and content (i.e. white papers, case studies, webinars, website, videos, brochures, sales collateral, etc.) to drive brand awareness and reputation building and promote our employer solutions
  • Represent EFE in external speaking opportunities, including events and client/prospect meetings, demonstrating subject matter expertise in defined contribution advisory services and financial wellness
  • Lead a progressive  team of ~8 marketing experts, guiding with ongoing coaching, while also motivating and mentoring their ongoing career development
Requirements: 
  • 15+ years of demonstrated ability delivering impactful B2B marketing strategies, with demonstrated success in the financial services industry
  • Big-picture, strategic problem solver with the ability to align marketing to business objectives
  • Shown success driving influence cross-functionally, including at the executive leadership level
  • A versatile leader with outstanding communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills, with the flexibility to respond quickly to change
  • Adaptable people manager with experience successfully attracting and developing impactful teams including remote employees
  • Metrics-driven with the ability to use data to advise decisions
  • Experience owning and prioritizing team’s workload under pressure and across challenging deadlines and partners
  • Capable of effectively enabling work through others while also being hands-on and ready to dive in and do
  • A proactive self-starter with an entrepreneurial mentality and the ability to uncover opportunities and/or develop new ideas and carry them through execution
  • Willingness to travel, as needed
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $209,425-$229,900. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, proven experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
