As a Senior Tax Accountant on the Finance & Strategy team, you’ll play a pivotal role by being responsible or involved in all aspects of EFE’s tax function.
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this Senior Tax Accountant role, we are seeking a candidate with critical thinking and attention to detail to help advance the tax function of EFE. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review various tax workpapers, including tax provision and various indirect taxes
- Assist and also lead cross functional projects to optimize the tax function
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation of tax processes
- Document processes and tax positions with memos or presentations
- Research technical tax issues from various stakeholders
- Assist in the resolution of tax notices and tax audits
- Provide ad hoc support in other areas as requested
Requirements:
- ASC 740 and tax accounting experience
- 5-7 years of corporate and partnership tax experience, with public accounting experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Quick learner who is both detailed and can see the big picture
- Always seeking to understand and improve tax processes
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Shows conviction in their ideas yet also collaborative and practical
- Position requires a high level of integrity and confidentiality
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $99,600- $145,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
