As a Financial Analyst on the FP&A team, you will report directly to the FP&A Senior Manager of Financial Analytics and Investor Relations, with a dotted line to the FP&A Director of Financial Reporting. You will play a critical role in updating and enhancing the three-year operating model and preparing monthly financial reporting packages that are key to driving strategic decisions at the Executive and Board level.
This role blends financial reporting and analytics with opportunities to partner with external consultants to implement and launch new technology initiatives to support process improvements including generative AI functionalities. Additionally, you'll collaborate closely with functional leaders and senior finance partners to build models, monitor financial performance and support central initiatives that drive profitable growth. We are looking for a detail-oriented, self-starter, with a high level of professionalism that will enable our team to prioritize, track and analyze complex financial information.

Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Play a key role in the month-end close process by preparing and analyzing variances, reconciling data between our accounting and reporting systems, and delivering accurate, timely financial reporting to support business decisions.
- Financial Modeling (On-going): Support the creation of monthly trending views to provide real time forecasts of projected financial performance of the organization. On an annual basis, help to develop a three-year projection by partnering with senior finance and internal business partners.
- Financial Modeling (Ad-hoc): Assist in creating and running complex models to analyze scenarios for different growth initiatives, capital investments and debt structures to drive critical decisions based on impact to Net Revenue, EBITDA and cashflow. Assist in analytical ad hoc requests from the CFO, SVP and VP of FP&A to provide valuable insights that drive the business forward.
- Lender Reporting & Investor Relations: Prepare lender materials for the Senior Finance Leadership team and External Stakeholders, including the large syndication of lenders that support our business and our private equity owners. This includes monthly business reviews, as well as quarterly earnings calls with lenders.
- Operational Improvement: Contribute to the automation of manual reporting processes. This includes partnering with outside consultants to test and implement new AI functionalities as they continue to rapidly evolve.
- Cross-Functional Business Partnering: Collaborate with teams across finance, accounting, and the business units to align forecasts, provide budget support, and increase financial accountability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics with 1-2 years of experience in Finance or related field, or a Master’s in Finance
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and proven experience building and maintaining complex financial models
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing deadlines effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Strong written and communication skills; ability to create executive level presentations
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different functions and effectively influence senior business partners
Preferred
- Hyperion/Oracle EPM experience a plus
- Understanding of SQL, Python, GenAI, Machine Learning is a plus
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $60,600- $80,700. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
