The Paid Search Marketing Manager is a critical member of the Acquisition team and delivers channel results through the growth, optimization, and ongoing management of Edelman Financial Engine’s paid search channel. The individual in this role must be goal-oriented and passionate about continuous testing, optimizing towards lifetime value and management of the paid search funnel experience.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead growth and ongoing optimization of our PPC channel. Align optimizations against key leading, lagging and lifetime value metrics.
    • Optimize keyword and campaign structure to align against business objectives
    • Leverage and test new bid management strategies to deliver ROAS targets
    • Manage ongoing partnership with contacts at key search engine partners
  • Enact continuous testing with landing page and keyword copy; partnering with creative team to improve campaign quality and engagement rates to drive audience and optimization goals.
  • Partner with marketing analytics and internal optimization team to identify, prioritize and implement tests crafted to continuously optimize and improve the search funnel.
  • Partner across the organization to understand ROAS impact and attribution impact that search has across marketing channels.
  • Analyze and report on paid search performance; partner with finance and analytics team to align performance against LTV and benchmarking metrics.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technical updates and standard processes in search marketing to drive innovation and performance.
Requirements: 
  • 7+ years of consistent track record driving growth in search marketing.
  • Analytical and productive; has the ability to connect performance with activities.
  • Excellent communicator who can communicate strategy across a cross-functional team.
  • Curious and continuous learner; seeks to understand.
  • Thrives in a collaborative, distributed environment.
  • Flexible, self-motivated, performance-focused and can act to optimize and troubleshoot performance issues as soon as they occur.
 Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $105,000 - $140,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
