Relationship Manager
Description
Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly understand client’s business goals, benefits strategy, and annual priorities to establish joint objectives in collaboration with Client Managers, Communications Managers and other internal partners
- Serve as primary client contact, helping them understand EFE’s value proposition and providing updates on new products and services, as well as updates to EFE’s business strategy
- Develop and implement renewal strategies for assigned clients
- Build and implement sales strategy; identify & assess cross-sell opportunities
- Represent Clients’ Interests with Internal Partners: Seek and synthesize input from clients regarding business needs. Understand prioritization and importance for client’s needs and advocate appropriately within EFE
- Industry and Product Knowledge: Stay informed of developments and challenges in the 401(k) industry as well as the advice and discretionary asset management markets
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of institutional relationship experience in Defined Contribution space or similar industry, with a consistent record of leading large institutional client relationships
- Knowledge of retirement plans and issues and challenges of the 401(k) marketplace
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Experience presenting to and communicating sophisticated concepts to people with various levels of seniority within an organization
- Ability to empower and influence internal colleagues, including crafting and maintaining positive relationships with team members, partners and senior management
- Ability to travel up to 30- 40% of the time
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $105,000-$125,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
