As a Sr. Manager, Emerging Investor leading the Emerging Investor team, you’ll play a pivotal role by guiding the Emerging Investor Planner team’s efforts to drive client acquisition and deliver exceptional financial planning experiences. This leadership role requires a combination of strategic oversight and team development.
  
In addition to an earnest desire to help people, we are looking for the ideal candidate to complement the team’s existing talents. For this Sr. Manager, Emerging Investor role, we are seeking a leader that will responsible for our Emerging Investor program which is centered around delivering a full-service, scalable, financial planning journey. From converting prospective client leads into long term clients, to the ongoing servicing and management of that client’s overall financial planning relationship throughout their working lives and through retirement. This will require strong development of our EIPs consultative Financial Planning sales skills, and mentoring on delivering an extraordinary ongoing client experience as the relationship grows over time.
The targeted client base for this role is the “Emerging Investor”.  A client segment that is earlier in their financial life cycle, but focused on growing their wealth to retire well. With this in mind, the Sr. Manager will need to develop a program and a team that balances a high volume and scalable client operation, while ensuring clients feel a differentiated planning experience that leads to long-term retention and engagement.
As the program develops, the Sr. Manager will also work closely with partners in the areas of BI/Analytics, Funnel Optimization, Program Management, Marketing, Quality Assurance and Talent Acquisition. These groups will provide support for the program and be key partners to ensure we have the reporting and data required to effectively build, as well as ensure the team grows and stays fully staffed.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Leads team to exceed performance targets;
  • Leverages data to supervise effectiveness and efficiency
  • Evaluates program effectiveness and EIP capacity to optimize conversation volume and effectiveness
  • Conducts regular coaching sessions to provide timely feedback which drives improvements in efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes
  • Effectively handles client escalations, solves issues, and takes steps to build client relationships
  • Works collaboratively with peers and internal partners to effectively implement new strategies and approaches to improve business performance
  • Works to improve the client experience, sales administration, and other business processes
  • Engages Planners in building a productive and rewarding workplace
  • Creates an environment for staff development, including actively participating in training development and delivery, as well as knowledge management content curation
 Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree, business or financial subject area preferred
  • 8+ years experience in financial services with experience in a client facing role
  • 5+ years of sales management, with a proven competency in leading successful teams
  • Possess the Series 65 or Series 7 & 66 licenses
  • Relevant financial Designations (CFP, CRPC) preferred
 
Edelman Financial Engines takes a market-based approach to pay. The expected base salary range for this role nationally is $73,500 - $98,000. However, final base pay will be carefully determined based on several factors, including responsibilities, job-related skills, relevant experience, geographic location, and market conditions. Additionally, this role may be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans, and 401(k) contributions.
