In addition to a talented cadre of environmental lawyers and legislative advocates, Earthjustice has an amazing Communications department that works in partnership with every other department at the organization.  
 
As a member of the Digital Fundraising & Engagement team (DFE), the Sr. Audience Program Manager leads development of strategy and analysis of audience segmentation and donor lifecycle marketing across Earthjustice’s digital fundraising program. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing multi-channel engagement strategies that deepen donor relationships and increase long-term value across our Sustainer, Justice Partner, and one-time donor audiences.  
  
This role is highly collaborative, working closely with the Digital Fundraising & Engagement (DFE) team, as well as members of the Outreach & Membership Services (OMS) and Development Operations, ensuring that every touchpoint -- email, SMS, paid media, and direct mail -- is driven by data-informed insights and an integrated approach to retention, stewardship, and growth. 
 
The position reports to the Senior Director of Digital Fundraising & Engagement.  
 
The Sr. Audience Manager is expected to work a full-time (37.5 hours/week) schedule, and work remotely in the U.S.
 
This is a non-supervisory position. 
 
What you'll do:
 
Audience Management and Strategy (50%) 
  • In partnership with DFE and OMS, design and implement data-driven strategies that increase retention, deepen engagement, and maximize lifetime value across online and offline channels, including but not limited to automations, customized outreach language, integrated cross-channel targeting. 
  • Manage the development of activists to first-time donor pipelines, developing integrated strategies to increase conversion rates in coordination with the Digital Advocacy team. 
  • Pursue innovative, best-in-class approaches to communications work, and share those learnings with colleagues. Maintain an ongoing understanding of communications best practices and movement trends to ensure Earthjustice leads, not just follows. 
Analysis and Testing (30%) 
  • Establish short and long-term goals and evaluation process for KPIs across donor acquisition, retention, and upgrades. Report-out on progress towards goals on a regular basis.   
  • Pilot and evaluate new tactics or tests designed to increase performance against KPIs. 
  • Serve as the primary DFE liaison for CRM enhancements and advocate for improvements impacting donor experiences. 
Donor Stewardship and engagement (10%):
  • Assist in the development of the overall Digital Fundraising & Engagement strategy to ensure donor segments receive a custom digital experience. 
  • Partner with Outreach & Membership Services to design and execute stewardship activities, including monthly donor acknowledgments and digital engagement touchpoints. 
  • Manage updates and improvements to the Earthjustice Member Center and donor-facing website content that enhance the supporter experience and retention journey. 
Ongoing Learning (10%):
  • Pursue ongoing professional development to build skills and knowledge aligned with Earthjustice’s mission and values and Communications Department culture.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning by sharing knowledge and insights with team members and staff and embracing opportunities for reflection and growth. 
What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years relevant experience required
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software and marketing technology is required, such as EveryAction or Engaging Networks
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Excel for reporting and data management
  • Proven ability to translate complex issues into compelling, accessible communications 
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple deadlines, and respond quickly to new opportunities and developments 
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff to meet shared cross-team goals and appreciate the contributions of others 
  • Ability to give and receive feedback in an honest, constructive, and respectful manner

Salaries at Earthjustice are determined by working location and are commensurate with the experience required.
 
The annual salary range for this role in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA is $109,600 - $121,800. 

The annual salary range for this role in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA and Chicago, Il and Honolulu, HI is $104,200 - $115,800.

The annual salary range for this role in Denver, CO, Philadelphia, PA, Anchorage, AK, Juneau, AK is $98,700 - $109,700.

The annual salary range for this role in Miami, Florida, Texas (statewide),  and New Orleans, LA is $93,200 - $103,600.

Other remote location salary range will depend on specific location ($93,200-$115,800).
