Remote Digital Producer, PEOPLE Evergreen

PEOPLE is looking for a remote digital producer to join our Evergreen team. This position will involve building articles in our CMS and doing photo research for search-driven content for PEOPLE across our various verticals, from entertainment, royals and lifestyle content to crime, human interest and political stories. This role will also involve making occasional updates to existing content and may involve some writing.  We’re looking for a candidate who can commit to 20-30 hours per week for this remote contract position. Pay range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have an interest in pop culture and celebrity news, along with a beginner’s knowledge of SEO best practices. Experience working in a CMS is a plus.

About the Role: 

  • Build all new content in the CMS, checking links and making minor grammar and spelling edits

  • Source photos for all new articles following our image best practices, collaborating with editors on feedback

  • Adhere to and implement our linking best practices and style guide

  • Work with photo editor to ensure all photos are properly sourced and formatted in articles

  • Make occasional updates to existing evergreen content

  • Pitch and write occasional evergreen articles 

About You:

  • Familiarity with content management systems and web publishing tools

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate actionable strategies

  • A strong eye for detail and great attention to accuracy

  • A passion for celebrity and pop culture news

  • A beginner's knowledge of SEO and an interest in learning more
