Digital Producer (Weekend)

PEOPLE is looking for a talented digital producer who can write and build engaging, dynamic content with the Gen Z audience in mind. We want a journalist with excellent writing skills, who can deliver clean, accurate copy fast. They must also have a multimedia vision of how to present news to readers who are addicted to TikTok and Instagram, a perpetually busy audience that wants to be entertained and informed at the same time.  
The right candidate will be steeped in the PEOPLE brand and how we tell compelling stories across 16 verticals that include Movies, TV, Music, Crime, Royals, Human Interest and more. We want someone who is curious and enthusiastic, who is obsessed with all things pop culture and can’t wait to explain the latest trend or hot topic. 
The right candidate will be able to quickly break down complex stories, whether it’s reporting on Diddy’s legal issues or Sabrina Carpenter’s outros. An impeccable news instinct is expected; basic video shooting and editing skills are a plus. At least 4 years experience writing for a news website in a high-velocity environment is required. Experience at a national news brand is preferred.  

 

Location: Remote - US

 

Pay: $28 to $32 per hour

 

Schedule:
  • 8 hour shift
  • 12pm to 8pm ET
  • Thursday to Monday
