Manager Human Resources Services

Job Summary      
The Manager Human Resources Services will manage labor relations and will be subject matter expert on enforcing and interpretating the local Labor Agreement and corporate policies and procedures. This person will report directly to the HR Manager. 
Job Responsibilities/Accountabilities   
  • Provide interpretation of the mill’s Labor Agreement for all affected employees.
  • Conduct investigations and ensure the proper enforcement of company policies and regulations on a consistent basis throughout the mill.
  • Manage all grievances presented to the company.
  • Manage all hourly staffing numbers and ensure the departments are staffed according to budgeted numbers.
  • Manage the Labor Pool numbers and assignments.
  • Participate in arbitrations.
  • Participate in contract negotiations.
  • Participate in interviews and onboarding for all salaried and hourly employees.

Required Professional Experience/Qualifications:   
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field combined with 3+ years of labor relations experience or 7+ years of labor relations experience without a bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in human resource management at progressive levels is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of EEO, ADA, and NLRB rules and regulations
Preferred   
  • PHR or SPHR
  • Experience in Manufacturing Environment.
