Job Summary:
Domtar Kingsport is seeking upcoming college sophomores and juniors with a focus in logistics and/or supply chain management. Seeking students interested in growth development and sophisticated project assignments to join our internship program in 2025.
In our summer internship program, students will be part of a team that shapes the future of innovation in the Pulp and Paper industry. Interns become fully integrated into our mill, work directly with management, and have assigned mentors to maximize the learning experience.
The internship program is 3-4 months during summer semester, requiring 40 hours per week. 
Key responsibilities:
  • Processing and updating logistics documentation, maintaining records, and managing databases.
  • Assisting with inventory control.
  • Working with other departments, coordinating with drivers and workers, and handling calls and correspondence.
  • Supporting vendor management teams.
  • Conducting quality audits to ensure that products meet the required standards.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of process controls to improve efficiency.
  • Creating and updating training documents for various supply chain processes.
  • Helping develop and implement material requirement planning systems.
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the supply chain & logistics.
  • Assist with scheduling and performing other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required Qualifications/Professional Experiences Years of Experience/Education/Certifications:

  • Must be enrolled as a sophomore or junior in an accredited program going towards a bachelor’s degree in in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).
