process engineer – Power & Recovery department OR Pulp department
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Provide technical expertise and leadership to the operations of either power & recovery OR pulp department. These positions will contribute to meet objectives for safety, environmental, quality, cost, and production performance. Develop and/or implement projects to meet SEQC&P objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
A Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering field (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Paper Science, Industrial). Prefer the individual to have experience in power, pulp, or paper area of operations.
SKILLS:
A working knowledge of power, chemical recovery, and pulp mill operations is preferred. Competent user of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
COMPETENCIES:
Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate must be able to work with a group as a team member and the capacity to lead by example while ensuring employee accountability to all department requirements. Candidate must be willing to work shift schedule as required.
