Position at

Systems Administrator 

We are looking for an AWS DevOps cloud engineer. This individual would manage the Dev/QA and
production environments in a Linux, Apache, MySQL, and PHP environment (LAMP) stack. Work directly with PHP developers to build the best solutions for the problems at hand.  This individual will provide subject matter experience and expertise with the ability to clearly present concepts and services to developers and managers in a laid-back environment.

Design fault-tolerant, cost-efficient, and scalable applications and systems on AWS.
Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads.
Select appropriate AWS services based on data, compute, database, and/or security requirements.
Use AWS architectural best practices.
Estimate cost and identify cost control mechanisms.
Manage the server and application layer of a WordPress environment, including updating and installing
Monitor the environment using CloudWatch and NewRelic.

Associates degree in computer science or related technical field.
1-year experience building solutions with various AWS cloud solutions including EC2, RDS, S3, and EFS.
Strong understanding of how CloudFormation templates are written and used to create elastic and scalable
infrastructure in AWS.
3 – 5 years experience of Linux administration.
Good understanding of MySQL queries and table structure.
Good understanding of Windows 10 troubleshooting.

Additional Qualifications: 
AWS Certified Solution Architect – Associate or AWS Certified SysOps. Administrator – Associate.
Experience in Python and/or bash automation.
Good understanding of a CI/CD pipeline using CodeBuild, CodePipeline and Jenkins.
Good understanding of Mac OS troubleshooting.
