About the Role
Dean Dorton looks to our dynamic Community Relations and Events Manager to lead our brand into substantial market growth. This role is critical to driving business growth and brand visibility through the development and management of strategic partnerships.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, and in collaboration with the marketing team’s Industry Strategists, and market growth teams, you will be responsible for supporting and cultivating strategic relationships with key pipeline partners in the Louisville and Lexington markets, managing sponsorships and events, and ensuring alignment with Dean Dorton’s overarching brand strategy to grow market share and brand equity. As a key member of the Marketing Team, you will ensure brand growth and market visibility in the Louisville and Lexington markets for Dean Dorton.
This role will require a blend of creative thinking, strong business acumen, and a shrewd attention to detail as you identify new partnerships, develop branded initiatives, and execute on corporate and community marketing activations. You will be instrumental in crafting strategies that expand our market presence while ensuring all partnerships and your representation reflect the quality and integrity of Dean Dorton’s brand.
Job Responsibilities
Event Planning and Execution:
- Plans, organizes, and executes all aspects in the market for meetings and/or special events, including conferences, dinners, hospitality events, tradeshows, special events, and other functions within the firm’s brand standards
- Coordinates and participates in developing tracking processes and procedures for registration/attendance, special needs, scheduling, and event participation
- Develops event communications and aligns appropriate materials (invitations, confirmations, collateral, meeting materials, post-event campaigns, attendance data into CRM, etc.)
- Manages event budgets and ensures events stay within financial constraints
- Manages event contract negotiations and ensure successful execution of agreements
- Assists in webinar management and firm-level event planning, as needed
- Assesses, maintains accreditation, and manages certificates for CPE and CLE related events, as applicable
- Maintains inventory and assess marketing collateral, giveaways, tradeshow booth items, and related event items in each location
Partnerships and Community Engagement:
- Supports and cultivates strategic relationships with key pipeline partners in the Louisville market as part of the market growth meetings
- Lead strategy, planning, execution, and performance of multi-channel partnership programs and regional marketing campaigns to drive the demand pipeline from partners, sponsorships, and events
- Recommend strategic partnerships and community engagement within the Louisville market and partner ecosystem to invest and drive pipeline growth
- Ensures all partnerships and marketing efforts align with Dean Dorton’s strategy
Marketing Planning and Insight:
- Recommend solutions to support market growth goals by researching prospect behavior trends, target audience, etc
- Work with industry strategists and Marketing Director to Identify, create, and execute on-site or follow-up marketing campaigns/tactics that drive or create lead acquisition
- Own and lead market insights. Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to identify opportunities for new partnerships and pipeline growth
- Analyzes, forecasts, and reports progress against Marketing pipeline goals and ROI
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related fields
- Proven experience in a marketing, promotions, or community marketing role
- Experience in corporate event planning, both in planning and execution
- Strong understanding of promotional and marketing strategies
- Professional with excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience understanding complex business models, preferred
- Ability to be a team player and work individually
- Proficient in Microsoft 365; preferred experience with Asana, Microsoft Webinars, and hybrid event platforms such as Webex Socio or other similar platforms
- Ability to travel is required
- Possess an attitude and proactive approach to learning and growing
